Hello and welcome!

In fifth grade, if you’d asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would’ve told you I wanted to be an interior designer. Two decades later, not much has changed. While I have passion for my marketing day job, I am thirsting for a creative outlet that is all mine.

This June marks one year since my husband, Sam, and I have officially owned our home. During that time, we’ve made small improvements and shared the outtakes with family and friends via my personal social media account. It’s been fun taking people along for the ride, especially those who don’t live nearby. Working on these projects has not only made it possible for me to awaken my passion for interior design, but I’ve also found that through sharing our experiences, I started getting questions and advice requests about how to complete certain projects – namely wallpaper.

It dawned on me that maybe this little interest of mine could turn into something not so little. Something that would serve as a creative outlet for me and serve as a place for others to find something useful, encouraging, instructional, or inspiring when it comes to their own home.

In short, I have many MANY projects, ideas and tips that I want to share with the world. To pique your interest, I plan on doing more wallpaper, adding new furniture and buying some power tools. I’d love to share foundational design tips like how to figure out the right size rug for your room, how to make a space feel more cozy, or how to hang curtains.

I hope you’ll follow along as I turn my 1970s colonial home into a classically modern retreat and hopefully educate, inspire and entertain you along the way. Now, let’s go make my 5th grade self-proud.

Thank you for being here!
