Living Room Mood Board: Two Ways

Two weeks ago I decided to start a new weekly series on my Instagram page called Moody Mondays. The concept is quite simple: each week, I create a mood board for a follower who requests one. All they have to do is send me their desired room/space, a word or phrase to describe their style and a word or phrase to describe the mood they want to feel when they enter this room/space.

In this week’s edition, a follower asked me to help decorate her living room using her existing gray couch and rug. She wasn’t sure if she wanted to incorporate lighter wood or darker wood pieces, so I ended up creating two versions of this board to show how changing out a few elements can create a different look and help her decide the direction she liked best.
